Some of the choices that you have include, stage shows, Muay Thai (boxing) matches, sightseeing tours, island cruises, golf, elephant safaris & jungle treks, scuba diving, snorkelling, white water rafting, sea canoeing, para-sailing, jet skiing, high speed go-carting, bungy jumping  surfing, and much, much more. Phuket is well served with movie theatres, bowling alleys, wonderful restaurants catering for every taste, great shopping centres, and an exciting and vibrant nightlife in keeping with it's reputation as one of the most popular holiday destinations in the world.

(01) PHANG-NGA BAY - A very popular destination for day trippers. There's a few ways to see the delights of the place. There are both half day and full day tours. Plenty of sea canoe adventures are available. James Bond Island, Panyee floating Sea Gypsy village, and a canoe trip into the hongs are some of the highlights. Some tours include elephant trekking, white water rafting and various other delights. A day trip which includes a visit to Phung Chang Cave is recommended.
Half Day Tour- 850 baht including National Park fee; Full Day Safari-1400 baht; WW Rafting-1700 baht

(02) PHI PHI ISLANDS - There are  some great day trips which  include pickup from your lodgings, boat trip, lunch and snorkelling equipment. It's a nice way to spend a day. If you wish to spend a night or two there, there are some very comfortable hotels and resorts on the island. If you just wish to travel there than there are many ferries departing daily for the islands. You can transit at Phi Phi on your way to Krabi, Koh Lanta and other destinations.
Day Trips including snorkelling & Lunch-Big Boat-950 baht; Speed Boat-2000 baht (visits other islands also)

(03) SIMILAN ISLANDS - Undoubtedly one of the most beautiful  Marine National Parks in the world. Crystal clear water and beaches of clean white sand. Only open for about six months of the year, October through to April, it is rated as one of the top ten scuba diving spots in the world. If you're not a diver, don't worry, you'll have a wonderful time swimming and snorkelling or simply sunbathing on one of the magnificent white sandy beaches. There are packages that include tent or cabin accommodation, for those that want to stay for more than one day.  Definitely not to be missed.
Day Trips including snorkelling & lunch-2800 baht; 2 Days/1 Night stay-4300 baht (tent)

(04) RACHA ISLANDS - Made up of Koh Racha Yai and Koh Racha Noi. These islands are also known as Koh Raya and are a quiet alternative to Phi Phi. Depending on the weather, the trip takes about 40 minutes by speedboat from Chalong Pier. There is great snorkelling in clear water off the beaches around the islands.  The accommodation on Koh Racha Yai ranges from fan bungalows to luxury rooms. Koh Racha Noi is undeveloped and has no suitable swimming beaches to speak of. Altogether, a great place for nature lovers and those pursuing a quieter holiday.

(05) ELEPHANT SAFARIS - There are plenty to choose from. Some are included as part of a larger one day package which includes several other activities. There are others dotted around the Island that are elephant rides only, and cater for rides of half hour or one hour duration. It just depends on what you prefer. Those more adventurous among you may prefer to participate in an overnight safari at Khao Sok National Park. It's a couple of hours off the Island, a beautiful National Park and a superb setting for safaris, rafting, bushwalking and wildlife watching. While you're there take a boat ride around Rajaprapa Dam to experience some amazing landscapes and see some of the varied bird and wildlife that make the dam their home.

 (051) Full Day Safari: Elephant Ride; Ox Cart; Elephant Show; Jungle Walk; Canoeing; Lunch; Adult 2000Baht Child 1600 Baht

(052) 4 Hour Safari: featuring most of the above Adult 1400Baht Child 1100Baht

(06) SIMON CABARET - This well known transvestite cabaret show is still extremely popular with visitors. Wonderful costumes worn by glamorous Katoeys performing in a entertaining stage show, provide for a colourful  night of entertainment. Lots of mime and some hilarious, risque acts. Loads of fun.

Show per Person - 600 baht

(07) SCUBA DIVING - There is a huge number of well known dive sites that are accessible from Phuket Island. While there are more dive shops on the island than you can poke a stick at, no dive company knows these locations better than  the team at SANTANA Diving and Canoe. They have been taking Phuket visitors diving since 1979. For a great diving holiday, I recommend that you get in touch with Horst, Andrea or one of their friendly staff, for a truly great diving experience.

(08) GOLF - Phuket has some wonderful, world class golf courses. While I'm only a hacker I do love having a hit around the paddock. There are five clubs here on the Island. Blue Canyon (two courses), Mission Hills, Banyan Tree/Laguna, Loch Palm (two courses) and Phuket Country Club (two courses). One of the pleasures of playing golf here is having a caddie (compulsory) to steer you around the course.  A great experience!
