We are a small, friendly, family operated Travel and
Tour company, situated in the centre of Patong Beach, Phuket Island,
Thailand.
We are authorised Thai Airways Agents and have been in business at
this location since 1998. There was only one travel agency open in
Patong on December 27th 2004, the day after the tsunami devastated
the South East Asian coastlines, Phuket Leisure Travel & Tour staff
worked long hours to assist so many people who needed to leave
Phuket urgently. Fortunately our premises were spared any damage
so we opened our office to assist in changing airline tickets,
organising transport and comforting victims of that terrible natural
disaster. Patong, and Phuket in general, has risen from the ruins
caused by the disaster and is better than ever.
Our service hasn't changed. All of your travel and tour needs can be catered for, plus, we are happy to provide any information, advice, and assistance that you may require. Our team is made up of myself, Paul, my wife Noy, son Noom, and our lovely daughter, Gjee. The fourth "staff member", and an important one at that, is Aussie our "cool" Shih Tzu. He's usually found laying around in the office. We speak Thai, Australian, and some English. I am originally from Queensland, Australia and have lived here permanently since 2002. Living in Patong is extremely interesting. There's always something happening. After moving here, I completed a TEFL course to become a qualified EFL teacher, and taught English to Thai students. This led to me accepting a job as Phuket TEFL Course Director for a well known TEFL course provider. I enjoyed this position immensely and stayed for three and a half years. I decided to resign this position in October 2006 in order to pursue other interests, one of which is building and maintaining this website, while another is assisting in the travel shop. I will forever be grateful for the school job because it provided me with the opportunity to meet so many wonderful people. I highly recommend that anyone who wants a complete change of lifestyle or simply wants to travel and work, undertake a TEFL Certificate course. You'll never regret it.
Noy is a native of Chiangmai, who moved to Phuket in 1999 to open
the travel shop. She had owned and operated businesses for several
years prior to moving south. Her English language skills are
excellent and she loves meeting and assisting people. She is a keen
traveller and has travelled extensively.
